Slipcase has opening on a single side where the book can be inserted and removed via its spine. As the spine would be visible, the subject of the book can be viewed without removing it from the slipcase. Due to its 5 side protection, large area of the book is protected from dust, light and other environmental influences. The advantage of a slipcase with shelf file is that the slipcase can remain in the shelf as a placeholder when the shelf file is removed. This prevents alternative occupation of the free space or adjoining objects from falling over. Slipcases can be used to store books, periodicals, magazines, etc...
